SUPERVISOR:
YouthActionNet® Program Manager
PURPOSE:
Provide support to YouthActionNet® Program, including administrative duties, workshop planning, web site content coordination, research and planning, project implementation and grant management tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
YouthActionNet® Global Institution
A. Assist with the coordination, planning, and implementation of all activities related to the YouthActionNet® Global Fellowship including:
- Coordinate the YouthActionNet awards application and matriculation processes, including receipt of applications, contacting relevant references, and communications with the newly-selected Fellows.
- Coordinate all logistical details related to the Annual YouthActionNet® Global Workshop including coordinating visas, travel arrangements, hotel and meeting space, and group meals.
- Coordinate regular communication with YouthActionNet® Fellows and assist in maintaining the YouthActionNet contact database.
- Support learning and resource opportunities for current or previous Fellows, including assisting with ongoing skill-building sessions and/or grants management
YouthActionNet® Virtual Institution
B. Assist with the coordination, management and implementation of activities related to the YouthActionNet.org, including:
- Assist the YouthActionNet® team in creating and highlighting content for the YouthActionNet® website.
- Conduct research around thematic spotlights, and reach out to youth-serving NGOs for content sharing
- Assist with online newsletter creation and dissemination
- Assist in tracking user generated content to identify key contributions for wider dissemination
- Assist in ongoing site review and maintenance
YouthActionNet® National Institution
C. Assist with the coordination, management and implementation of activities related to the local program expansion, including:
- Coordinate grant management activities related to YouthActionNet® country grants.
- Coordinate all logistical details related to the Annual YouthActionNet® Institute Retreat
- Assist Program Manager in specific research and assist in writing concept papers and proposals for further funding of the program.
- Assist in collecting, compiling and creating programmatic reports due to donors on a quarterly basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in a field relevant to IYF’s mission and programs (Social Science, International Development, Public Policy) is required.
Ability to foster and work within a team environment as well as independently manage tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills appropriate to operating in a multicultural, international environment.
High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize events such as seminars, training and/or conferences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required. Oral and written fluency in a second language is preferred.
Evidence of strong research skills and analytical skills.
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office 2000 including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
